Iran Holds Aviation Exhibition

A02603095.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- Iran opened an international aviation fair on the Persian Gulf island of Kish on Tuesday.

More than 20 foreign companies or their domestic representatives and local companies are participating in the four-day exhibition.

The companies are from countries including Britain, Germany, France, Russia, China and Poland.

Karim Aghai, the director of Kish airport said that about 80 light and ultra-light planes are on display.

This is the fourth exhibition since 2002 by Iran to attain know-how, equipment and spare parts for its aging passenger fleet. US sanctions ban the export of advanced technology to Iran even in the field of civil aviation.
