Leader: Youth Can Restore Spiritual Power

TEHRAN (FNA)- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei called on the Iranian youth to make up for the country’s backwardness during the dependence period.

“By trying to acquire knowledge, the youth can compensate for the backwardness of the country” which has been the legacy of the era before the Islamic Revolution, press tv quoted the Leader as saying in a Sunday message to the participants of the 43rd annual meeting of the Union of the Students’ Islamic Associations in Europe.

Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that students’ efforts would restore the spiritual and material authority of the nation which was a pioneer in contributing to knowledge and introducing innovation.

The Supreme Leader characterized the students’ mission as historic, asking them to take the country’s needs into consideration.
