Bulgarian President Looks Forward to Lithuania Visit

photo_verybig_1019381Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov, will arrive Monday for a three-day official visit to Lithuania

He is set to discuss energy security and the Eastern Neighborhood Policy with his Lithuanian counterpart Valdas Adamkus.

The bilateral meeting between the delegations headed by the Presidents will be followed by a signature ceremony of a protocol of cooperation between the ministries of foreign affairs of Lithuania and Bulgaria and an agreement on co-operation in the field of tourism between the governments of the two countries.

Parvanov will visit the Lithuanian city Kaunas to meet with Mayor Andrius Kupčinskas and to visit the Historical Presidential Palace and the Pažaislis Monastery. He will also visit the Lavoriškės Frontier Station to see how the external border of the European Union and the Schengen area is protected.
