Military monuments and cemeteries to be subject to agreement between Bulgaria and Romania

BUCHAREST

The preservation of military monuments and cemeteries in Bulgaria and Romania will be subject to a bilateral agreement between the two countries. Currently, the departments in charge harmonize the document, Bulgarian ambassador to Romania Valentin Radomirski said.

“I hope the agreement will be signed very soon. So in some way we take care of the memory of our heroes. The foreign ministry has sent the agreement to the respective institutions in Bulgaria. These institutions should pay it more attention and move it as quickly as possible so that we could table our proposals to Romania,” the ambassador said.
