Working groups with ministries to work out plan for EU funds money return

BULGARIA

Working groups with all the ministries will leave for Brussels under the guidance of OLAF. They will work out measures and plans for returning the money of the EU funds to Bulgaria, Prime Minister Boyko Borisov announced at the news conference organized after Council of Minister’s sitting, which was dedicated to the short-term fiscal framework of Budget 2010-2013.

Asked to explain why the structure for EU funds management was established so late since the government of the Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (CEDB) considers the issue a priority, PM Borisov said that Yuliana Nikolova, who was appointed in charge of the EU funds absorption, needed two weeks to quit her previous job.
