MACEDONIA, SERBIA, MONTENEGRO
The newly-elected European Parliament meets Tuesday for its first plenary session.
The agenda of the plenary session in Strasbourg includes the visa liberalization for Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro.
The newly-elected European Parliament President Jerzy Buzek and the European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, who runs for a second five-year term as president of the Commission, will make introductory addresses.
The first session of the EP is expected to run till September 17. Macedonia’s parliamentary delegation is due to attend the session.
On the sidelines of the session in Strasbourg, Macedonian parliamentarians will meet with EU lawmakers to lobby for start of Macedonia’s EU accession talks and the visa liberalization for Macedonian citizens.
