As part of the pre-election campaign, on Oct. 16, the leader of the puppet regime of Abkhazia, Sergei Bagapsh plans to visit Gali, Chairman of the legitimate government of the Autonomous Republic, Giorgi Baramia said at a news conference on Oct. 16.
“With it, he tries to win the hearts of local residents, the Georgians before the so-called “presidential elections”,” he said.
Baramia said the situation in Gali and frequent human rights violations in the region give reason to doubt that the citizens of Georgia will participate in the so-called presidential elections on their own will.
“Bagapsh’s visit to Gali will not change anything,” said the head of government of Abkhazia.
He said to highlight the pre-election campaign, the Russian journalists are in Abkhazia and they will shoot telecasts and write newspaper articles on this issue.
