Deadline for fielding candidates for presidency is December 3

The deadline for putting forward candidates for the post of President of Moldova expires on December 3, communiqué from the special commission for organizing the second round of presidential elections.

The commission informs that the candidates can be fielded on November 28, 29, 30 and on December 1 and 2, from 8.00 until 17.00; on December 3, from 8.00 until 24.00, to the address: Chisinau municipality, 162 Stephan the Great Blvd., office 1005.

The commission reminds that the candidates must be older than 40, have lived in Moldova for at least 10 years on a permanent basis and know the official language.

Under the legislation, the candidate for the post of head of state must be supported by at lest 15 MPs.
