German delegation holds consultations in Georgia

A German delegation is holding official consultations in Georgia.

According to the German Embassy to Tbilisi, the reform from the German Economic Cooperation and Development Ministry is visiting to Georgia to holds consultations with the government.

Talks will cover the subsequent long-term cooperation in energy and environmental protection, sustainable economic development and reforms in justice and refugee housing.

Assistance will be provided within the German government’s Caucasus initiative. Its goal is to achieve sustainable stability in Georgia and throughout the South Caucasus.

Germany has provided 400 million euro for Georgia since 1992. This year the aid amounts to 51.9 million euro. In this respect, Germany is Georgia’s second biggest donor.
