Tbilisi to mull government’s strategy on Abkhazia and South Ossetia

The next discussion over the Georgian government’s draft strategy on the territories of Abkhazia and South Ossetia will be held Dec.11.

Georgian State Reintegration Minister Temur Yakobashvili said representatives of the EU and Council of Europe will take part in the discussions.

Dec.9, the first meeting discussed various issues of strategy, he said.

The government launched the3 work on the strategy a few months ago. It concerns the Georgian authorities’ relations with a population of the territories of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, the issues of education, cultural development and people’s diplomacy.

The final version of the strategy will be ready by late 2009.
