PACE president pays official visit to Moldova

Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), will make an official visit to Moldova from on March 22 through 25, where he aims to promote stability and fully functioning democratic institutions, and contribute to moving the current political situation in the country forward.

In Chisinau, he is due to meet the Acting President and Speaker of Parliament Mihai Ghimpu as well as members of the government and the heads of different parliamentary groups and main political parties. On Thursday, he will address a plenary session of the Parliament.

Mr. Çavuşoğlu will give a joint press conference, along with Acting President Ghimpu, at 11 a.m. on Thursday.
