Georgia to host NATO-Georgia Inter-Parliamentary Council

Tbilisi will host the first session of the NATO-Georgia Inter-Parliamentary Council.

Members of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Civil Dimension of Security’s Committee’s Democratic Governance Sub-Committee arrived in Tbilisi.

The first meeting will be April 6 at 11:00 a.m. in the conference hall of parliament.

On the same day, the delegation will meet Firt Deputy Speaker Mikhail Machavariani, EU Mission Deputy Chief Lieutenant General Gilles Janvier, State Minister for European Integration Giorgi Baramidze, Prime Minister Nika Gilauri, and State Minister for Reintegration Temur Yakobashvili .

NATO MPs will visit Gori and meet refugees April 7.

Meetings with Defense Minister Bacho Akhalaya, Deputy Foreign Minister Giga Bokeria, NATO member country ambassadors in Georgia, and civil society and NGO representatives will also be held April 8.
