U.S. ambassador to Serbia: U.S. wants Serbia in WTO

U.S. ambassador to Serbia Mary Warlick said that America wants to help Serbia join the World Trade Organization (WTO).

“We hope that finishing the process of joining the WTO would be an important component in joining the EU and opening the market. We believe that this is important and we will see what we can do,” Warlick said, adding that she wants to focus on improving economic cooperation between Serbia and the U.S.

She also said that there is great interest coming from Washington regarding economic cooperation with Serbia.

“We want people to know that there are a lot of possibilities here (for investments) and I think that the U.S. and Serbia itself can do a lot more as far as this is concerned,” she said.
