Kosovo to host Balkans mini-summit

Presidents of Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia and Montenegro will gather in Kosovo next month, local media said.

The aim of the mini-summit, due to take place in the town of Prizren, is to promote regional cooperation.

Kosovo President Fatmir Sejdiu will host the first meeting of four Balkan presidents, the first high-profile meeting to be held in Kosovo. The event was to be held in January this year.

Sejdiu’s Cabinet said Bamir Topi of Albania, Gjorge Ivanov of Macedonia and Filip Vujanovic of Montenegro have already confirmed their participations.

Kosovo President Sejdiu’s spokesman Xhavit Beqiri said the meeting has been scheduled for June.
