The EU integration processes of Albania and other countries in the Western Balkans have gotten a shot in the arm from Romania, Greece and Bulgaria. “We adopted a joint declaration regarding our commitment to the European prospects of the Western Balkan countries,” Romanian Foreign Minister Teodor Baconschi said on Friday (May 21st) after a trilateral meeting in Bucharest. The declaration will be sent to EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton and EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fuele. The integration prospects of Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina will be discussed at a June EU-Western Balkans’ summit in Sarajevo.
