Gruevski wants resolution of name dispute with Greece

Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said on Tuesday he pledges for solution to name dispute with Greece, noting that such a solution must not harm the country’s interests.

He commented his speech to the VMRO-DPMNE youths last weekend.

“I’m not against. On the contrary, I prefer resolution, but I said that no acceptable solution can be reached under threats. There cannot be a solution if the citizens don’t want it and if such a solution is doing them a harm. We would support a compromise solution which is acceptable to the citizens and in line with the state and national interests. We are interested in success of the process of resolution of the issue,” Gruevski said.

He also dismissed the prognoses and analyses on eventual snap pools this year.
