A two-day European Conference of Presidents of Parliaments wrapped up in Limassol on Saturday (June 12th) with participants calling for a lasting solution that guarantees the rights of both communities in divided Cyprus. The conference brought together 50 speakers, deputy speakers and other senior parliamentary officials of countries that are members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and other states. The two main topics were the rights and responsibilities of the opposition in parliaments and implementing the principle of non-discrimination in parliaments.
