Georgia will participate in EU conference

Italy will host the conference of representatives of the EU member-sates’ and countries outside the union June 19 at the initiative of the European People’s Party. Georgian Deputy Prime Minister Giorgi Baramidze will participate at the event.

Baramidze has already left for Italy with a working visit to this end.

The meeting will also be attended by the French European Affairs Minister, Foreign Ministers of Italy, Turkey, Hungary, Malta, Bulgaria, Moldova, Armenia, and Albanian European Integration Minister.

The conference will focus on the topical issues of EU and neighboring countries, including the political situation in different countries and relations with Russia.

Security challenges and Euro-Atlantic integration also are expected to be mulled upon Baramidze’s initiative.

During the visit, Baramidze will hold bilateral meetings.
