Georgia is ready for talks with Russia on the whole range of problems, but only if refugees return home and de-occupation, Georgia President Mikheil Saakashvili said today at a meeting of the National Security Council.
He said that despite the Russian leadership’s statement on unwillingness to negotiate with the Georgian leadership, they will have to do it.
“I will say that they will have to speak with the Georgian leadership. We will talk about de-occupation. We want to have good relations with Moscow. But they must express respect for our integrity and sovereignty”, Saakashvili said.
The Georgian President noted that we are ready to negotiate with Russia. We want to negotiate with them on the recognition of Georgian integrity.
