Romanian FM: Romania has always recognized and supported the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan

Romania has always recognized and supported the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and will continue to maintain this position, Romanian FM Teodor Bakonski said at the meeting with Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mamedyarov in Baku on July 19.

Azerbaijani FM Elmar Mamedyarov met the head of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, who was in transit visiting through the territory of Azerbaijan.

The sides discussed bilateral relations, the ongoing processes in the region, energy and communications projects and other issues.

The Ministers underlined the great potential for the development of political and economic ties, energy cooperation in all spheres of relations between two countries.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister informed the Romanian colleague about the negotiation process around the settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and on his participation at the informal meeting of OSCE foreign ministers in Almaty.
