Cyprus not to recognize Kosovo independence

Cyprus’ Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nicholas Emiliou declared that Cyprus will not recognize Kosovo’s independence but Serbia will find it hard to win UN’s support.

Asked to comment on Nicosia’s position on Serbia’s resolution filed to the UN General Assembly, Emiliou said that the document is a matter of discussions between Cyprus and the European partners that wish to achieve a common position on the issue.
