EU Special Representative in Kosovo Pieter Feith stated that the protection, preservation and promotion of religious and cultural heritage is essential.
He said that these are values that are important for European integration and the well-being of Kosovo and its people.
Feith visited the municipal authorities in Prizren to discuss issues relating to the protection of the religious and cultural heritage and community rights.
Feith was informed about the work on the reconstruction of the Prizren fortress, saying that they are progressing well and that he is happy that the reconstruction of some houses belonging to Kosovo Serbs in the historic center of the town would soon start.
