Romanian president visits Bulgaria

Romanian President Traian Basescu visited Bulgaria on September 23 2010, at the invitation of his counterpart Georgi Purvanov. The two heads of state were set to continue their active political dialogue and would evaluate the bilateral relations between both countries, the the sphere of economy, trade, tourism, as well as the European Union and Nato, the reports said.

The schedule of Basescu’s visit also includes a plenary discussion between the two official delegations.

Purvanov and Bacescu were scheduled to discuss the opportunities for the improvement of the trade relations, enhancing of economic and investment cooperation, as well as co-operation in the energy sector.

Subsequently, the two presidents will sign bilateral agreements, while also launching the Bulgarian-Romanian business forum.
