Kosovo official dismisses reports of premier’s possible resignation

Kosovo’s deputy premier Hajredin Kuci dismissed media reports that Prime Minister Hasim Thaci may also resign days after the country’s president quit his post, RIA Novosti reported. “All such reports are just rumors,” Kuci told journalists.

Reports of Thaci’s resignation come days after president Fatmir Sejdiu stepped down after the Constitutional court ruled that he breached the constitution by keeping a party post while in office.

The online version of the Koha Ditore newspaper said citing anonymous sources that Thaci may resign as parliament of Kosovo postponed debates on privatizing one of the largest companies, Post and Telecom of Kosovo (PTK).
