If the Transnistria problem is resolved in a near future, this will tell positively on the settling of the Nagorny Karabakh conflict, believes President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
He said yesterday that if even one of the existing several regional conflicts in the FSU area is resolved, this will give an impulse to resolving the other ones.
“These conflicts have very much in common – an aggressive separatism, ethnic purges, violation of territorial integrity, occupation, though the history of these conflicts and the history of the relations between the peoples involved in the conflicts are different”, said Ilham Aliyev.
In his words, the Nagorny Karabakh conflict is problem number one for Azerbaijan, which will never reconcile to the loss of its territory.
“We shall restore the territory. We would like this to happen soon, and without military actions”, stressed the Azerbaijan President.
