Greek deputy minister to visit Azerbaijan

The prospects for bilateral political and economic cooperation will be considered in Baku. The negotiations will be held within Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Spyros Kouvelis’s visit to Azerbaijan on November 28-29.

Kouvelis, as a co-chairman of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, will lead a Greek governmental and business delegation. It will arrive in Baku to attend the third meeting of the committee.

Greek Deputy Minister will hold several meetings with officials of the country in Baku, including co-chairman of the commission from the Azerbaijani side, Azerbaijani Industry and Energy Minister Natig Aliyev, the embassy said.

The fourth Greek-Azerbaijani business forum will be held in Baku within the commission’s activity.

According to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Greece amounted to $104.1 million in January-August 2010.
