Serbian Foreign Minister: Serbia continues to support RS

Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremić said Wednesday in Banja Luka that Serbia will continue to support Bosnia’s Serb republic (RS) and its leadership. Jeremić was in Banja Luka to congratulate the newly elected RS President Milorad Dodik.

Jeremić and Dodik discussed the situation in the region, RS and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Serbia supports RS endeavors to constitute all democratic institutions after the elections, Jeremić said.

He pointed to the need for fostering political, economic, security and other forms of cooperation in the region.

The joint platform on Kosovo adopted earlier Wednesday by the Union of Independent Social Democrats (headed by Dodik) and Serb Democratic Party on respect of Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity is very important for Serbia, and it is grateful for that decision, Jeremić said.
