Croatian police arrest war crimes suspect

Croatian police arrested on Monday (November 8th) former Bjelovar wartime official Jure Simic on suspicion of war crimes committed against prisoners of war during the 1991-1995 conflict. Prosecutors say Simic ordered the murder of three members of the former Yugoslav Army, part of a larger group of military officers captured by Croatian forces at military barracks in Bjelovar in September 1991.
