Cypriot president to continue efforts on reunification in 2011

Cypriot President Demetris Christofias said in his New Year address on Friday (December 31st) that he will continue efforts to reach a settlement of the long-standing Cypriot issue. “Let us hope that 2011 will prove more creative and that it will eventually be the year of a solution which will put an end to the occupation and settlement and will reunify our country and our people.”
