Serbia and Croatia both request serb paramilitary extradition

Serbia and Croatia have sent requests for the extradition of Serb paramilitary Milorad Momic, who was recently arrested in France on January 31 on an interpol warrant issued by Serbia.

Serbia sent the documents requesting Momic’s extradition on Tuesday.

The 47-year-old Momic, a former member of the infamous Serb paramilitary group Scorpions, is wanted in Serbia on suspicion of having shot six Muslim civilians during the 1995 Srebrenica massacre. Zagreb has asked for him to be handed over to Croatian authorities because he is wanted by the Vukovar County Court on charges of war crimes in eastern Slavonia. The County Court issued a warrant for his arrest.
