The U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary for Political-Military Affairs, Thomas Countryman, will visit Priština today, and then head for Macedonia and Albania.
His visit comes during negotiations to form a government there.
Ahead of this trip, Countryman stated in Brussels on Tuesday that he expects the forthcoming Belgrade-Priština dialogue to start as soon as the government in Prišitina has been constituted.
The U.S. official stated that Washington is “taking very seriously the grave charge” which Council of Europe Special Rapporteur Dick Marty made against Kosovo Albanian officials in his report on illegal human organ trafficking in Kosovo.
However, Countryman noted, “judgments on anyone’s guilt cannot be passed in advance”.
