Moldovan FM to visit Romania

Moldova’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Iurie Leanca will pay a visit to Bucharest on March 16-17, at the invitation of his Romanian counterpart Teodor Baconschi.

The foreign ministers will discuss methods of supporting Moldova in its efforts to reach the European standards and the provision by Romania of assistance in different areas and in the European integration process.

Iurie Leanca will have meetings with the President of Romania Traian Basescu and Prime Minister Emil Boc and will raise such issues as the cooperation relations between the two states.

The program of the visit also includes a working meeting with the EU Ambassadors to Moldova based in Bucharest, where there will be discussed the relations between Moldova and the EU and the support that the EU member states will provide to Moldova in its European integration efforts.
