Bulgaria backs Croatia’s EU membership

There are century-old traditions in the relations between the peoples of Bulgaria and Croatia, but today they assume a new quality – the quality of NATO and EU allies, Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov said at a joint press conference with his Croatian counterpart Ivo Josipovic. Bulgarian President and his Croatian counterpart described the bilateral relations as excellent.

“Bulgaria will continue supporting Croatia’s EU membership,” said Georgi Parvanov.

The ties between Bulgaria and Croatia are not only a good example, but also a factor for the stability and prosperity of the region, said President Parvanov.
