Serbia and Ukraine could establish a visa-free regime by the end of the year

Serbian Parliament Speaker Slavica Đukić-Dejanović and her Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Litvin met in Belgrade on Monday.

They expressed hope that the two countries could establish a visa-free regime by the end of the year, said reports.

The Serbian parliament speaker told reporters that the Serbian Interior Ministry has finished the technical preparations for abolishing visas, and that it is now Ukraine’s move.

“This can be finished relatively quickly and I would like it to be by the end of the year,” she said.

Đukić-Dejanović said that Serbia and Ukraine are close in terms of history and culture, adding that Belgrade and Kiev have very friendly relations.
