Georgia to ratify cooperation agreement with Bulgaria

The Georgian Parliament is to ratify the Georgian-Bulgarian intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the transport sector on Tuesday.

The parliamentary committee on economy and economic policy considered amendments to the Georgia-Bulgaria agreement on the international transport of passengers and freight, signed on Jan. 19, 1995.

Based on the amendments, direct air links will be established between Bulgaria and Georgia within the month. The sides have already drawn up the relevant agreement.

This agreement will lift all restrictions for the Georgian and Bulgarian airlines. Earlier, the two countries carried out only charter flights. In another month they will become regular.
