Athens hosts Day of Azerbaijan

To commemorate national leader Heydar Aliyev’s 88th anniversary, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Greece held the Day of Azerbaijan at the Athens campus of the University of Indianapolis – the largest university in Greece.

Speaking to teachers and students, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Greece Rahman Mustafayev spoke about Aliyev’s role in building Azerbaijan’s statehood and reinforcing the republic’s independence.

He also told the event participants about Greek President Karolos Papoulias’s recent official visit to Azerbaijan, stressing that according to Greek officials, it was one of the most successful foreign visits of the Greek President in recent times.
