Moldova, Turkey start negotiations on free trade zone creation

The 1st round of negotiations on free trade zone (FTD) agreement between Moldova and Turkey started in Chisinau on Monday.

The negotiations participants exchanged opinions of the document, agreeing that it must include provisions analogous to the agreements concluded by Moldova within the CEFTA [Central European Free Trade Agreement] and adjusted in conformity with the specific character of bilateral trade relations.

The negotiations with Turkey will be held simultaneously with bilateral negotiations with the European Union on Moldova-EU Association Agreement and Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement.
