US supports Moldova’s European aspirations

The United States of America supports the open door policy towards the countries that want to join the European Union, U.S. President Barack Obama said in a meeting with Head of Parliament and Acting President of Moldova Marian Lupu.

Barack Obama said he will continue to support Moldova’s European aspirations and highly approved of the efforts made to promote democracy and reforms in the country. The meeting took place on May 28 on the sidelines of the 17th Summit of Central Europe Heads of State.
