Moldova will not recognize Kosovo

The Republic of Moldova has not recognized and is not going to recognize Kosovo as an independent country, Moldova’s Acting President and Speaker of Parliament Marian Lupu stated at the briefing he organized today upon his return from Warsaw, where he attended the 17th Summit of the Heads of Central and Eastern European states.

Lupu explained that suitable formulations and procedural moments were found by forum organizers, and the Summit unfolded to its almost 100% format despite the fact that the event was attended by Atifete Jahjaga, President of partially recognized Kosovo.
