Moldova’s National Security Strategy will be adopted by end of June

By the end of this June, the Moldovan Parliament shall approve a National Security Strategy, the country’s Acting President, Parliament Speaker and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Marian Lupu promised at a meeting of the Ministry of Defense Board today. 

Together with the top-rank visitor, the MoD Board discussed questions pertaining to reforming and modernization of the national army and the military command’s activities in this field.

Lupu admitted that the national army, as well as the entire national defense system, is need of reform and modernization on the basis of thoroughly-thought programs and strategies.

He reminded that at the latest session of the Supreme Security Council, the body made “a strategic analysis of the national defense”.

He promised a State support to the reform and to social programs for the military, including providing them with housing.
