Hungarian PM says the EU needs BiH and the Western Balkans integrated

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, whose country currently holds the EU presidency, said on Wednesday in Sarajevo that Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)’s membership in the EU was equally important to all parties.

Orban, who met with Nikola Spiric, chairman of the Council of Ministers and members of the BiH presidency, stated that his country supported not only BiH’s membership in the EU, but the integration of the entire Western Balkan region.

“The EU needs BiH and the Western Balkans,” said Orban.

Orban said the country had made great strides toward EU membership, adding that “BiH has a reliable partner in Hungary.”
