Moldova hopes for OSCE’s support to solve Transnistrian conflict

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe plays a key role in the Transnistrian conflict settlement process and is able to facilitate the problem solution, Moldovan Prime Minister Vladimir Filat stated on Thursday during his meeting with the OSCE delegation led by Renatas Norkus, Chairman of the OSCE Permanent Council.

Filat welcomed the delegation’s coming to Chisinau, which he perceives as a convincing sign of the Organization’s support for the Republic of Moldova.

“The OSCE is a key platform for dialog on European security problems. Moldova stands for strengthening the OSCE’s role and its analytical and operational capacities in resolving regional conflicts”, said the Premier.
