Serbia will become EU candidate in December, says Deputy Prime Minister Božidar Đelić

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Božidar Đelić is confident that Serbia will get the EU candidate status in December.

He underscored that he would resign if this did not happen.

“As a responsible man I stand behind every word. I expressed my stance on resignation before (Hague indictee Ratko) Mladić was located. I am sure that the European Commission (EC) will positively assess the level of reforms implemented in Serbia. I believe we will get the candidate status in December,” the deputy said.
