Haradinaj trial moves on

Trial of Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) commander Ramush Haradinaj continued on Monday in the Hague Tribunal after three weeks.

A protected witness said that “Armed Forces of the Republic of Kosovo (FARK)”, i.e. the 134th brigade had entered Kosovo in June 1998 to fight against Serbian paramilitary forces.

According to the witness, the forces were lightly armed and wore camouflage uniforms.

“The decision to send the forces was made by Ahmed Krasniqi who had been stationed in Tirana at the time and who was a commander of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kosovo,” the witness pointed out.

Haradinaj, Idriz Balaj and Lahi Brahimaj are accused of crimes against humanity and violation of law and customs of war in Kosovo in 1998.
