Czech soldiers to withdraw from Kosovo by early November

KFOR’s Czech soldiers will complete their 12 year-long engagement in Kosovo early in November, the Czech Defense Ministry released on Thursday.

Ministry’s spokeswoman Jana Ruzickova said that 90 Czech soldiers who are currently part of KFOR contingent would leave Kosovo on November 3, Reuters reported.

A total of 8,261 Czech soldiers served as part of the NATO mission in Kosovo since July 1999.

Three members of the Czech Armed Forces were killed in accidents during their service in the NATO force deployed in the province.
