Hashim Thaci says border protest will end soon

Threat to block the borders poses violent threat to country’s institutions, Hashim Thaci says, urging people not to respond to Self-Determination’s plans for Saturday.

Hashim Thaci, has called on people not to respond to opposition calls to block two main borders with Serbia, saying they will not be tolerated.

Speaking at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Hashi said that “real patriots” respect the country’s constitution and do not act like Serbia has done in northern Kosovo, by blocking borders and highways.

“For all of us the motive to build Kosovo should be European values, their model and vision, not the Serbian model,” he said.
