Azerbaijan, Georgia discuss cooperation on recognition of mutual place names

Azerbaijan and Georgia should expand cooperation in mutual recognition of place names. It was mentioned at a meeting between the Azerbaijani State Standardization, Metrology and Patents Committee Chairman Ramiz Hasanov and Georgian National Intellectual Property Center Chairman (“Sakpatenti”) Irakli Gvaladze and Deputy Chairman Ekaterine Egutia.

Hasanov stressed the need for boosting cooperation with Georgia in mutual recognition and protection of traditional brands, trade marks and place names.

He said the two sides should considerate a bilateral agreement on this matter.
