413 missing bodies from 1990 Bosnia war exhumed in 2011

Bosnian forensic experts last year exhumed the remains of 413 people who went missing during the country’s 1990s war, bringing the total number of victims found to some 22,000.

In all, some 30,000 people were reported as missing following Bosnia’s 1992-1995 war. Of the 22,000 exhumed remains, some 19,000 have been identified.

Most of the 413 bodies found last year have not yet been identified.
