Croatian Chairperson of Parliament thanks Bulgaria for support over years

“Bulgaria has demonstrated and proved its support to Croatia many times over the last 20 years. Bulgaria was among the first to recognise Croatia’s independence, and then of the rest of the republics from the Former Yugoslavian Republic,” said Chairperson of the Croatian Parliament (Sabor) Boris Sprem, who attended the official ratification of the Treaty of Accession of Croatia to the European Union (EU) by the Bulgarian parliament.

“You were one of the founders of the Process of Cooperation in South-East Europe. You were among the first to ratify the protocol for Croatia’s accession in NATO, while today I am happy and proud that Bulgaria is the first country in which I witnessed the ratification of the Treaty of Croatia’s Accession to the EU,” Sprem added.
