Serbia: elections will be called on March 13

Serbian Parliament Speaker Slavica Đukić-Dejanović said on Monday that parliamentary and local elections in the country would be called on March 13.

“We will call elections in the whole country, but they will not be general local elections because some councilors’ terms will not expire in this period,” Đukić-Dejanović said.

She added that elections in Kosovo and Metohija would be carried out “in cooperation with the international community, as envisaged by Resolution 1244”.

Đukić-Dejanović noted that the elections will be held on April 29 or May 6.
